Chris Moyles was confirmed as the first I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here campmate as he landed in Australia ahead of this year’s series.
Ant and Dec, the hosts of I’m A Celebrity, have been desperate to have Moyles as a campmate since 2012. However, he told Vernon Kay during a chat on his breakfast show on Radio X, that would not make a good candidate.
One of his main hesitations is his fear of heights, known as vertigo, which he discovered when he took his girlfriend’s niece (Tiffany Austin) to Go Ape. “I got a wheal and realized I was more afraid of heights than I really thought I was,” he said.
Devoted I’m A Celebrity fans will know that Vernon appeared on the Welsh version in 2020. Kay encouraged Moyles to appear on the show because he enjoyed it: would now tell them “don’t hesitate”.
While Vernon acknowledges that “cockroaches, creepy critters, spiders and snakes” are a big part of the show, he said that “as an experience it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. ever had on TV”.
Speaking about his adventure under Chris, he said: “That should be nice, fingers crossed anyway.” When asked if he was afraid of things in the jungle like snakes and spiders, he joked, “There’s a lot of everything in this country, like sports and beer and I don’t have a scared of beer sport. So I think everything will be fine, ”reports the Mirror.
He added: “I have absolutely no idea what my family and friends would think of me doing a show like I’m A Celebrity. I never asked them. But I think they would be a lot more nervous about me doing Antiques Roadshow.

Olivia Atwood is stepping into the jungle as the first-ever I’m A Celebs contestant on Love Island after a seven-year ban on islanders being allowed to join the celebrity roster. After the ITV2 dating show, Olivia starred on the ITVBe reality show The Only Way Is Essex.
Speaking to the Mirror about going to the Australian jungle, she said: ‘I’m scared of myself, in terms of how long other campmates can tolerate me. I’m going to be in trouble one way or another, as usual.
Atwood reveals that doing the show has been a lifelong dream: “My friends and family have always wanted me to do this show so let’s see how it goes. I love Ant and Dec, I grew up watching them. They are icons of British television.
Joining the show means Olivia will have to be away from her fiancé Bradley Dack, when asked what she would miss most, she replied: “It’s the first day at the minute so I don’t miss big -thing. But in three or four days, the dogs and my fiancé probably.
Olivia added that she and Brad had code words to communicate while he was away and also wore matching bracelets with him.
